Welcome Alison Rogers, Ed.D., LPC
When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” Helen Keller
A New Chapter
After more than 30 years, I will be closing my counseling practice on June 1, 2013. I joyfully continue coaching new parents in yoga, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I also provide individualized yoga sessions for anxiety and depression to women at any stage of life. It is now widely recognized that mindful yoga reduces stress, and increases contentment and well-being. It can be particularly helpful for women in transition, and women who are aging. For women who are being treated for mood disorders it is a very effective adjunct to psychotherapy and medication.
These services are very affordable, because once learned, the practices themselves are continuously self-healing.
Please visit www.theyogaofparenting.com for more information. I look forward to practicing together and I am filled with excitement for this new direction and gratitude for the opportunity I have been given for the past 30 years to serve as a psychotherapist and counselor to hundreds of children and families. Thank you.
